About this project
Two remodelling exercises from the beginning of my master's programme at UIC Barcelona, each completed in a single day. The first is the Galaxy SOHO by Zaha Hadid Architects — a compound of flowing, organically connected retail and office volumes in Beijing.
The second is L'Oceanogràfic by Félix Candela — a marine science complex in Valencia built around thin-shell concrete hyperbolic paraboloid canopies. Both were exercises in reverse-engineering complex free-form geometries under time pressure.
