A parametrically designed and hand-built fire pit, constructed during a 4-day CSR camp — an exercise in translating an algorithmic design into a physical object on site.

About this project
The location was Enying, a small and underserved town with an ongoing relationship with the company. Our team designed and built two installations over four days; I contributed to the fire pit. The design was parametric from the start — given our vision for the geometry, computational tools were the natural choice.
Translating the design concept into a Grasshopper script was one of the more satisfying challenges: the algorithm had to produce a buildable structure, not just a compelling render. Seeing it go from a definition in Grasshopper to a physical object on site was a genuinely rewarding experience.
